Usually we get complaints about it being 'OVER built' not 'UNDER built'. It's very possible that the stand was not assembled correctly or the nuts/bolts were left loose in the store you visited. When correctly assembled, the stand should be incredibly rigid and capable of supporting many hundreds of pounds. I'm very glad you discovered our line of Klamp System Components.
